Excellent surprise! What a great find. Service was very good. Staff was kind and helpful even though I can't speak any German. I only wanted a small dinner and they perfectly provided everything with the same level of service as if I was a big group eating a full dinner. Menu was creative and very tasty. I enjoyed the cauliflower soup and a chocolate-cranberry dessert. Wine menu is fantastic, wish I could have tried more!

Star cuisine with heart and tradition: My wife and I recently visited the Ratsstuben in Haltern and the experience was simply phenomenal - it is definitely an absolute "must be". The ambience is indescribably beautiful, tastefully decorated, and the seating is both comfortable and suitable for people with physical limitations. The menus are extremely creative and delicious, not to mention the excellent wines presented by a highly qualified staff. The great Bellini was particularly great. The family atmosphere and the relaxed ambience round off the experience - star cuisine with a difference. The dishes were all prepared first-class, with high-quality ingredients and a great play of flavors. I would particularly like to highlight the targeted use of wasabi - bold, but perfectly successful! The sauce was also a poem, as was the balance of acid, lime seed and caviar. The lack of molecular gastronomy was refreshing and I was thrilled by the traditional craftsmanship and high-quality style, which was not too delicate but still very appealing. The classic plate setting was another plus point. Although the price of the restaurant is at the top end, it is absolutely justified by the quality of the ingredients used and the unique taste of the dishes. Particular highlights in the excellent menu were the Gillerdeau oyster with vichyssoise and the sea bass “Ike Jime”. The additional attention we received with the double greeting from the kitchen and pre-dessert rounded off the visit. An outstanding dining experience that I highly recommend. We are already looking forward to our next visit to the council chambers!
